The delicatessen, the wine and the oil are what more characterizes Umbria, and are also important elements of the regional economy. Very often the visitors who came in Umbria want to have wine and food tasting tours, that are just the reason of their departure or return.

At only 4 Km from the property there is the Agricultural Mariotti, a family business farm  whose peculiarities are the closed cycle farms: the pigs born from mares in modern warehouses and are fed grain grown in the soils of the farm and treaties in feed mill company.
Over the years the company has continually focus on improving the quality of the meat derived from its breedings, that are sold fresh or turned in typical umbrian pork product like ham, sausages  of exceptional goodness.
The company produces aged cheese, Pecorino cheese, legumes, cereals, various types of artisan beer, jams, honey, pork product, truffle products and condiments.
The company has a retail store.

 

  

 

Umbria is characterized by another important product in its cuisine and famous around the world: the truffle, of which produces as much as 80% of the black truffle found in Italy.  The truffle is used not only with the pasta but also with eggs, meat and bread. Since truffles are flavored oil too.

   In Umbria the extra virgin olive oil is another essential element of the regional cooking, without considering that our region produces the highest percentage of extra virgin olive oil. Near the house you can buy it on farms such as the cellar or Monte Vibiano Vecchio and Goretti cellar.

 

Umbria is also known for other products such as the red onion of Cannara, where every year in September there is the Festival of the of onion, the lentils of Castelluccio di Norcia, the red potato of Colfiorito and for all the products that are obtained from meat processing pork, such as sausages, salami etc, of which Norcia is famous.

 

 

 

Wine

 

The wine tours have always characterized the tourism of Umbria, where is possible to find not  only a great variety of places to visit as Torgiano, Montefalco, Orvieto, etc., but also many wineries where you can make a complete tour and see the cultivation, the various processes of production and taste the wines produced by the farm accompanied with meats and local products, such Torta al Testo (Testo is a stone that is made ​​incandescent) or Easter bread.

 

Near the property there various wine cellar like La Spina, Goretti and Monte Vibiano Vecchio.

In this last wine cellar will be possible to have eco tour inasmuch has been the first farm in Italy to receive the prestigious reward and certification of DNV ISO 14064, to have reached the zero emission of CO2.

 

At Torgiano, at 20 min by car from Antica Posta, there is Lungarotti wine cellar, one of the most important of our territory and where will be possible, moreover the tasting of their wine, to visit the museums of the oil and of the wine.
